Rode up to Spooner Friday, then north west to Webb Lake area. Saturday to Nelson Lake and looped back through Gordon and Minong. Then rode back to New Richmond on Friday. They have plenty of snow up there. Hopefully the cooler temps early in the week let them get the trails set back up. They were getting used up by Saturday night, but still pretty darn good. Sunday in Spooner they had everything polished back up for the ride home.

I know that's not exactly where you plan to be, but I wouldn't be worried about snow volume. They have enough. Trail conditions change daily on weekends.

Just got back from Brule, WI area. The trails were excellent!!! Had a great time. Rode both Bayfield and Douglas County. The only area with issue would be Port Wing, WI They have miles and miles of plowed road. OMG, not a mile or 2, MILES! If you head to Herbster for a bite, you hit a few, but not bad. You should then go back the same way unless you have scratchers or small lug's to where you might get enough lube for the slides. But otherwise. Smooth trails, and plenty of snow!! Stayed in Brule at the Kro's Nest, next to the Kro Bar (same owner). Awesome house that sleeps 12 and is very reasonable in price.

Which way did you come into Port Wing? I rode up there last Thursday before the warm up. There is logging and plowed to nothing off trail 40 SE of Port Wing

We came in from Vallhala to Herbster. From Herbster we went south to Port Wing. Then from Port Wing we went South towards Brule. Plowed Roads on both sides of Port Wing. So in and out are a bit tough.

Its always a good thing to look at the map when planning a route. The Bayfield County Snowmobile Map clearly marks those parts in green which indicates plowed road-not groomed.
I believe a lot of the Port Wing/Herbster area has been re-routed for some time now due to some trail closures. Far from ideal.

BTW, we rode west and north of Valhalla Saturday and the trails were excellent with light traffic. We also went to Sparky's for a bite on TR31 just south of Washburn and it was a bit bumpy. Not unusual though as snow conditions next to the lake are normally less than in the Valhalla area. It looked as if was groomed Monday.
