Bud's New Superbowl Commercial

People I know refer to regular Bud as Diesel. They also refer to Busch Light as Busch Latte and that's their beer of choice. Not a fan of either and that company sure made of mess of things awhile back. Kid Rock was shooting cases of beer, but apparently walked back his stance by continuing to drink the stuff. Only thing I can say is that if you get a chance to do the tour in St Louis, it was worthwhile.

Problem is that people stopped drinking bud light, which I never liked and also gave me headaches, and switched to Busch Light.
Ya think? Busch Light makes it into our beer refrigerator because I have 1 son-in-law that likes it. Anyone do comparison between Bud Light and Busch Light what’s the difference?

I've been watching the replys to the original post the last couple of days. Kind of amusing as the intent was to showcase a Superbowl "Commercial" and quickly became the subject of our least favorite beers. Namely, the beers of the Mega Brewer in St Louis. I guess our brief episode with the Trans named Dylan still draws a response less than favorable. I heard that he, or she, or whatever has moved on to some Broadway play in New York where the audience is more accepting. Good for It!

Now, back to the beer. I have a little experience, along with many of you. Mine began by sneaking samples from Dad's supply in the basement when I was a teenager. At that age, brand is not important. Agreed? A bottle here, a can there, Dad will never notice. Then I hit the long anticipated age of "Legal" and here we go. It's got to be Five O' Clock somewhere, right? Now at my current age, I shake my head at the pure luck that I survived those years of embracing the hops. Look up Risky Behavior in the Dictionary and there's a picture of me when I was 21. Longer hair, not as heavy, and a silly grin from the Beer Buz. In the background you'll see my Mercury with it's air shocks, jacked up rear end with G60's.

Again, back to the beer. Over the years I've had my headaches too. But I don't think it was the brand, more than likely, too much of any brand gave me the crankys and Diarrhea was never a problem unless Taco Bell was followed by beer. But that's just me, results may vary. Let's all agree, there's nothing worse than having a Beer Buzz when Diarrhea hits. I know, "you thought it was just gas"!

Which brings us to present day. The Family Doctor's been on my back to eat less, exercise more, etc. etc. so I've compromised. I've searched the world over and found that Michelob Ultra is the lightest beer, fewest carbs, and still tastes like beer. I won't be running any marathons like in the commercials but I can tell the Doc that I'll be content to sometime enjoy a cold beer with moderation from time to time. (wink, wink,)

Used to sneak Blatz from the ol man back in the day. Can't imagine! Good thing about being in the Yoop is Labatt's is readily available. Specifically Blue Light. Thank You Canada! Although I'm sure most of it comes from NY.
Bourbon is the go to these days. Not so many empty calories plus there is cherries in a Manhattan and orange in an Old Fashioned so you get the RDA of fruit :)

As far as Superbowl commercials go, Budweiser has always had excellent heartfelt commercials, hands down, the best. As far as the beer, it's okay, not a beer drinker anymore, but, in the day, Bud was it. All else aside, their commercials are top notch & they all pull at your heartstrings.

I don't know what the deal with Michelob Ultra is,,,,but ALL the younger kids in late teen and early 20's are drinking it ,,,if they're not drinking a seltzer. I would imagine their market share has exploded in the last 3 years. I've had it sorta tastes like water.

I'm not a big beer drinker, but I like Modelo. No headaches. Loved the Bud commercial though. Mezz if you read this, was wondering how the knees are doing. Suppose to get up north next week with club trip. Wabeno area

Big time difference whitedust, at least for me. Bud Light is too dang sweet, nothing to it, then drags with it an aftertaste, imo. Busch Light on the other hand hit my favorite button on the first taste which was oh so many years ago. Remember buying a big box of it for $7.00, after getting in off the road for the week with the guys. ;)

I called on AB in mid 2000s and AB told me that every bottle of Bud Light was sold before it was packaged. I said Whaaat? You mean you are at capacity nationwide every bottle and can is already sold before you pour it and they said YES!!! So if you open a new facility all that beer would also be sold and again YES….thats why you are here to quote equipment for an additional brewery. Let me tell you thats a lot of beer going out by the box car. 2026 and how the USA has changed for many things including AB. My family likes Coors Light for the most part and I do too so that’s what I buy and drink except for 1 son-in-law that likes Busch Light. I tried Modello because it was popular but it didn’t move very fast I thought it was ok but me and everyone else drank and preferred Coors Light
