One would have to assume there is a reason for the 2.2 if it’s been recently renovated up to apec and code and if it’s a bar good chance micro brew it may come with all the furnishings and equipment which can be very pricy we have mad Anthony here in ft Wayne and when they started up grading the prices and cost of that kind of stuff is outrageous. However at the same time it’s the yoop not New York 2.2 is steep when you look at other possible ready to go buisness ventures there are up north. Obviously my .02 but that property has tons of potential just not for that kind of price.

Slim, you made me laugh right there! Assed Value? you mean like "half assed value"? Or maybe "fat assed value"?

OK, I think you meant "Assessed Value" so I fixed it for you. NASH must be taking a nap or he would've been all over your......well you know.

Just having some fun with you Slim, carry on and keep up the good work!

Ha looks like I made an "***" out of myself.... LOL

As a former college student up there, location doen't matter one bit. It's too small of a town to be worried about how far do we have to go. Used to go to Schmitt's corner all the time, Monte Carlo, snowmobile club in Atlantic Mine. Now in Green Bay I drive farther just for dinner and I haven't even left town yet!

But yeah that's steep for Hancock. Maybe Chad could chime in he's in that neighborhood.

Yep, you nailed it!

As a 'nuther "toot" from da Tech (ca. 1958-1964), without a car, I yoosta occasionally walk the ≈2.5 miles each way from the east end of the MTU campus to the old Orpheum Theater in Hancock (as mentioned in John's journal of December 10, 2017, now The Studio Pizza, 426 Quincy St, Hancock) and back — in the winter even.

For the first year or so before the current lift bridge was opened for business in Dec 1959, that meant crossing the old swing bridge with it's rotting, loose and broken wooden (snow covered in winter) pedestrian walkways (that was a bit of a hair-raising winter thrill!).
But yeah that's steep for Hancock. Maybe Chad could chime in he's in that neighborhood.

I've seen that fairly frequently in da Yoop, some folks that are not particularly "highly motivated" to sell will set a price in that range, perhaps in the hopes that some (click →) J.L.Gotrocks (YouTube video, 1 min. + 5 sec.) from "Ill-a-noise" or wherever, with more money than brains might just blow into town and buy it for such an inflated price. But the price is usually quite negotiable.

Beer drinking college town. How much is a beer in that place or better yet a pitcher?

I couldn't tell you I always drank liquor there. They served me a double once and he said he would have to charge me extra so I asked how much, $2.75. I said well you have a business to run! Poured myself into a car and woke up the next day with a headache. I could go there with a 20, eat lunch and need a ride home.

We used to get $3 dollar pitchers at the old bowling alley but then they switched to mini pitchers. I had to quit bowling because that was an extra 3 pitchers for me.

Glad nash found my spelling error. I went back and added the E because I forgot the D!
