Don't hate the player, hate the gameI feel attackedclub baseball monthly dues are more than my sled payment. We’ll be spending Memorial Day and 4th of July weekends out of state for tournaments. If it sounds crazy, it’s because it is.
That's some commitment. Do you have winter games also?
A co-worker's grandchild plays baseball for Middleton. It's the same deal. He's in a different city every weekend cheering him on. I have no idea how the kid can focus on anything else.

I didn't read this book but watched a doc. on the author. It pretty much sums up the decline of civic and social engagement in society and how we've become and isolated people compared to 30 years ago. From Snowmobile clubs to bowling leagues to the PTA,,, You name it,,any club 30-40-50 years ago no longer exists or is greatly reduced in numbers.
