Can someone please explain this to me???

A friend of mine went to Rhinelandser this past weekend and posted some pics on Facebook. I noticed that they pulled over to let a groomer pass and then the next pic which appeared to be the exact same spot shows two more groomers comming thru. What on earth?! First thing that comes to mind is this seems like a waste of club money. Not to mention it looks like the trails were in pretty good shape. I've never seens this before, can someone enlighten me?

Thought it was a different spot in the trail. After looking more closely, it is the same. Perhaps two clubs were out grooming and that part of the trail is intersecting both club's trail? I cannot see one club owning two different styles of groomers. But what do I know, I just enjoy watching them do their thing so I can do mine.

i know of a few clubs that have different styles/types fo groomers. Maybe the groomers were just heading out for the day and all came from the same shed.

I've seen this before in lower MI. They have one behind the other so that the trails get smoother faster when there is a lot of traffic. One can't take care of it all sometimes.

There are only 2 groomers in those pics not 3. The John Deere in the 1st picture is the 2nd groomer in the 2nd picture.

Well the first is obviously a JD and correct me if I'm wrong but the 3rd looks to be a Case.

I was just watching a show about sledding in Canada somewhere, but they were running two groomers in line, one on each side of the trail, grooming the full width in one pass. I assume it was all a one way trail, otherwise, it looked like it would have been a disaster waiting to happen..but they were gettin' -r- done!!! But I would bet these guys were from different clubs. Probably met for coffee somewhere then headed out for the day....hehehe

I think they had a groomer show up that way last weekend. Where clubs, DNR, and whoever want's to see what is available for groomers.
