Captian Phil Harris of Deadliest Catch has a stroke

Okay guys, this thread is about prayers for him and his family, not about pill poping. Lets stay focused, please.

Well, Phil didn't make it. He died Tuesday evening...

He was a nice chum. Good show, wonder who will take over the boat.

Bad news. He was a good dude. Thoughts and prayers go out the the Harris boys and the crew of the Cornelia Marie and the rest of the fleet. My guess is Murray will be running the Cornelia Marie until Josh or Jake get their licence to operate it. I wonder how they will work this tragedy into the show because I'm sure that most of the last two weeks are on film.

Yeah Phil was the man! It's a shame that he's gone...too young. It's a rough life and obviously took its toll. R.I.P. Phil!

Too bad!! He was awesome. I guess working 22 hours a day 7 days a week and smoking 3 packs a cigarettes a day isn't the answer to longevity. Who woulda thunk??

So sad that he didn't make it. If they were offloading when the stroke happened, I'm sure the cameras were there. Scary stuff. Feel for his family & crew.

Man this board has gone down the hill since the forum format change. Just turning in to another HCS, ect forum.. Quite sad indeed.

At the end of the day it does not matter,
but seeing how I work in the medical field
it makes me wonder if all that smoking contributed
to his death.

His family is in my thoughts.
