It takes people a while before they convert to Bergstrom Triple Points, me included, then they realize Bergstroms are the last Carbides you will ever buy. Everything else is junk compared to Triple points. JDers know what is best give Bergstroms a try & enjoy what the rest of us already know. :)

so i should go and order a pair of bergstrom triple point carbides

if you wanna be poor, sure, i wouldn't spend that much on a pair of carbides on a 500 with 6 or 7000 miles... You should spend that money on other things to keep the sled running. get new carbides, yeah, but you don't need bergstrom triple points... Just go to the ski-doo dealer and they probably sell woody's there and just get those in 4 or 6 inch...

The point is why keep buying carbides each year? Yes you pay more for Bergstroms but the sled corners better than your buddies & you are set for future years with a single purchase. In the long run you have better handling, no darting & save money. The only case I can think of that I would not purchase Bergstroms is if I was selling the sled in the very short term then cheap as I could find as the new buyer would not be that concerned with carbide wear on a used sled. Woodys are NOT cheap either but certainley not on par with Bergstrom carbide Triple Point quality. Just the handling improvement is worth the extra money for Bergstroms. Ask for more opinions don't take my advice see what other JDers say? This is not a brand specific site so you get real world answers to your questions & not a lot of BS. :) Bergstroms are worth the money & really not more expensive for many years of service compared to Woodys.

what my point is is that i dont think woodys sells those exact carbide but if they do ya i will go and buy them

woody's does sell them!!!!!!!!! what part of that don't you understand i told you that like 10 times

You probably will only have this sled another year, and it never leaves our county, you just ride circles around and around so why the need for fancy carbides?

Indy:You know the above photo shows a rusty carbide but still very serviceable for budget minded person. New Woodys not going to perform much better than above carbide still plenty of carbide & wear pad left. I have seen guys run carbides in the UPMI down to the mounting bolts. If budget minded keep using the current set & save some lean green till next year.

whitedust:
um the thing is is that i only have the two outsides ones left that are good and the others that were in the inside of the dual skis were almost wore down right to the bolt. so i definitely need 2 new carbides for my skis

Dual carbide skis are excellent application for 1ea triple point per ski & rotate best old carbide to outside. Call Scott Bergstrom he does this all the time. A set of doo carbides 4ea going to be expensive Woodys too. Bergstrom also sells single bar carbides but uses higher quailty carbide than Woodys or doo. Sounds like Bergstroms with ski savers & shims would be about the same cost & much beter performance for you.
