Hello all,

Here's an off season topic. Anybody know a good way to restretch carpet. I have a couple wrinkles in the kids room and it just upsets me.

Thanks,

Andy

I have installed carpet many times in my house and a couple friends houses and have also tightened up loose carpets with a stretcher like this, work really good! I picked it up at Menards. 44968_CSTR.jpg

think they even rent them at menerds and the depot for a few bucks a day . get close enough to wall when using so u can use a siff straight edge to sort of hit and stuff carpet under baseboard after stretching out wrinkle .
pretty sure harbor fright sells a cheep one still I have had 1 from there for ten yrs . gets used about 12 times a yr stretching to a threshold on a new floor job

they must have cheapened them up . no surprise
some of there stuff last for ever some junk.
we were just talking about a hardwood floor stapler I bought there prob 8 or 9 yrs ago because the bostitch was busted mid job.
well the harbor fright under 100 buck special has never been busted and has run at least 50 cases of staples. the bostitch has been in the shop a hand full of times with far less use we don't even grab it off the shelf unless 2 guys are laying floor .
then u get stuff and it wont last a hour
