That sled came with a hex clutch. whats the belt width? 1 3/8" or 1 1/4" give me belt number.

Also the" posts" are technically called towers. For an 80's jag you should have a kawasaki clutch on that sled. But in the past twenty one years anything could of transpared.

Yup, it's a hex clutch. Belt width is 1 1/4" I don't like the hex shaft at all, It digs into the belt at idle.

Indy the shaft on your engine is a 30mm 1 in 10 taper.
A Polaris, cat or comet will fit if same taper. The horse power
will not over power a 6 tower so don't spend money needlessly.

Ok thanks guys. I just wanted something with more interchangable parts. Don't know yet whether or not I will look for one, as I can't make up my mind if I want to keep the thing or try and sell it for a profit.

I suspect if I dig deep enough in the barn I could locate you a 6 tower and a comet clutch that would work on that sled.

Ok, if you find one let me know, but don't go out of your way to look for one. I'm not positive on getting one quite yet.
