Cat T660 Four Stroke

I am looking at a Cat with the T660 FS engine(non turbo) and was curious of current or past owners thoughts? This will be a second sled and I know they only go about 55-60 but that will be plenty fast for the wife and oldest kid. Thanks, Tom

Z1310,Sister & bro-in-law had 2 660 cat never a problem. Not hard riders(60+ age) but a great dependable sled.IMO you cant go wrong with a CAT......Meathead

top heavy and don't have the power to compensate for that in say ditch side hills etc.
my wife had one weight was not a issue cuz she came off a zrt600 .
she was good on the zrt would keep up with the boys.
the 660 on the other hand I blame for her slowing way way way down to this day.
1st ride going up a ditch at a angel we had done many times just out side our cabin. rolled it.
same day rolled it on a corner.
long story short rolled a few more times still has a chunk of bone floating in her elbow to remind me for life.
the sled was totaled in to a tree with less than 300 mi on it.
she had never wrecked any of he prev 3 sleds with thousands of mi.
Like I said to top heavy with no power to correct .
hers was the 660 non turbo 121 dark green thing.
for groomed trail they are great that is it no un groomed ditch nothing groomed trail.
that said I could man handle it and I never wrecked it but U deff had to commit and get on it coming in to corners hot and some steep ditch stuff. most women will not commit I have met

I agree with ezra you can get in all kinds of trouble without enough power to get thru steep hills or hill angles & that is were you see most rollovers. Not time to be timid the sled can ghost ride & if no people power to correct via throwing sled around it is going to roll or end up in pickers. I know the 660 was not around along time cat did their thing then discountinued.

Nuts...I own two of these sleds....dependable, always start even in double digit negatives, and they ride fine unless you are trying to drag race or ditch bang. When you have family and friends who are not the best riders, these sleds are fine. They have huge tanks and go for many miles on a tank....way longer than the 2 smokers. They are fine second sleds and you will be happy with the low maint. Just gas and go. Would I buy them again? In a heart beat!
