I have heard the y pipes make a pretty big difference on the 700 motor for a reasonable price. Also look at clutching and head setups from Rk-tech, and do a search for "Geo-mod" on snowest, for rear skid. (if you can view it anymore without paying) Supposed to make a huge difference with transfer in the deep stuff.
Hope this helps.

well y pipe alone wont do much seat of the pants but it is a few ponies. v force gives a bit better response but then you need to give it a bit of throttle every time you start it.bikeman pipe mod is not the best I had probs tuning to it in the mid range was great for top end but not in the mid worked with a boondocker and air fuel.still not great in mid range.I had better luck with speedwerks pipe.do not mess with timing key or head shave. porting really wakes up that motor.I have seen 159 with a quality port job and a bmp fatazz pipe. not a bmp port job they are crap. have heard good things about priceless performance but not seen personally.I think until he is ready to commit to porting and a pipe and boondocker.just do a y pipe and a orange sno pro spring in the clutch and call it done .10 tooth drivers are supposed to be a verry nice upgrade have not tried but talked with a few guys who love it and that one is cheep. and oh yeah if it is a 700 it is a 06 or older.what ever he is thinking stay away from older bmp 800 kits new ones are ok but still better off with a QUALITY porting job
