Cat Z 370 too rich

My boys sled was "loading up" while he was getting on and off the throttle riding in the ditches last year. I pulled the plugs and both are black and wet, so I figured its just running way rich. How do I go about leaning it out?
Thanks,
Tim

This is a fan cooled carb sled right? Silly question perhaps, but when is the last time the carb was cleaned? Change the plugs out & put some fresh fuel in & see how it acts. There is a pilot air adjustment on it, but I don't think that's the issue, it could be a little gummy build up that needs to get cleaned out.-Mezz

did u get is used? last guy could have made it fat for some sub zero weather. try fresh fuel if not pull the main jets and drop 1 size under 25 bucks if u do t your self. if u bring it in for a carb cleaning make sure they check what jets are in it and if those are the correct jets for it

Thanks guys. Changed plugs and some new gas. took out in the yard last night and she pop and sputtered a few times getting on and off it. Once I get on it and clean it out, it runs good, but shouldn't do that running slow speeds.
Carbs were serviced last season but it did it after that too.
I think I'll try one size down on the mains. After that I'm probably done, will have to take it to the shop.
Thanks again.

Pull out the choke plunger and make sure it moves freely and seats at the bottom of the well. Is the return spring in good shape and 1 piece?

Same problem, same snowmobile.. Removed carb and heard rattling noise in float bowl. Took apart and found the main jet off. Put back together and runs great.

I took the carb off and it looked brand new to me. I didn't hear any rattles and choke seemed to move freely. Put it back together and took it to the dealer. Hope they can figure something out.

We got snow this weekend & took it for a ride. The best it has run in years. Runs strong. Hope you get yours fixed.
