Center skid shock

I know this might sound crazy but you always hear adjust the center skid shock. In the skid I only know of the front or rear shock. Which is it?

Snowmobile suspension adjustment is talked about with three points of contact. The front point is the skis. The opposite end is the rear of the skid. The center point of contact is the front of the skid.
Some also use a comparison to a teeter totter. The front of the skid being the center pivot point.

Center shock mostly controls ski pressure puts engine weight on or off skis. First adjustment to get your skis tracking properly. If you can adjust 1 thing at a time then ride a bit to see if more tweaks are necessary. Front ski Shock pressure Can do a lot of goofy things to steering too plus start pitching if you go too hard. Imo you should be conservative not pull in limiter until shock adjustments have run their course. Once you learn your machine you should be able to be in a click or 2 of heaven. Takes some effort but well worth it.
