Now that sounds promising, sure hope it can happen. They may have been waiting for textron to put in the money and effort to come up with the new sled and engine and now have something to work with going forward. As the article stated many brand loyalist and I will say my blood is yellow and black but never want to see a company fold( especially US based) it just all brands become better. Hopefully it can work out.

Sadly, your analysis is pretty spot on. Not sure what can be done to change it. I’m 68 and I won’t be buying another sled, this my last. I love the sport but have to admit I’m not as excited about it as I used to be. Maybe it’s because I live up here and can go anytime I want.
I grew up with snowmobiling being a winter time family activity. And we had the best of enjoyment doing so. I'll have a very hard time giving it up, but like you Paul, my health, and my age have crept up on me. Cold weather was my cup of tea, as hunting, fishing, and snowmobiles. That was until the blood thinners became necessary. So it is.

As far as the SuperTrax article on the AC, Argo thing goes, it seems to me to make some good sense. It is well explained, and it seems to fit the key to the lock. Yeah, well, speculation it is, but I'm all in hopes of it happening. I have been in the camp of wishing for Kawasaki to pick up AC. However, perhaps Argo is the better, and perfect fit? Argo has made a lot of good moves too. Only time will tell, patience.

hear ya on blood thinners... 3 per day, still love my winter sports, just harder to tolerate, especially extremities.
yes... patience... everything otherwise is speculation or assumption and we all know what happens when we assume...

From an article i read yesterday in Supertrax, Argo is the front runner. I found it very interesting that a magazine would post something that is not a done deal. Everything they say seems to fall in place. I would much rather see Argo make the purchase than CF Moto. Both would be better than Textron. Sorry i cant post that article, lack of computer skills!
Argo would be great as well!...but for the sport as a whole CF Moto might be the better route?? We need more riders to enter the sport...simple as that. CF Moto prices are 20-40% cheaper in the markets they currently play in.

The Chinese sled I saw 2 years ago was pure trash. It had a gear shift on it like a lawn mower!

You keep banging the drum for less expensive sleds. Acquiring AC in TRF ain’t going to do that it’s not feasible or Textron would have been happy to undercut snowmobile pricing if they could make money. CF Moto doesn’t need TRF to do that they could bring in Chinese crap with tariffs and sell it if they wanted. Anyone that wants to buy AC will want to advance the Catalyst line as a recent platform make money or it’s not worth the investment. The buyer will also have to accept that the snowmobile industry is completely clogged with non current inventory and the ROI looks bleak for 2-5 years. So who is going to purchase AC??

I can discount everything you say when keep mentioning Chinese crap...CF Moto is hardly crap TBH;) But you know everything so doesn't matter really does it. haha

Who put that out:) Crazy. 95% of these Chinese machines are crap for sure!!
Don't remember who it was; just didn't peak my interest because it "look" awfully cheap and tinnie. The gear shift looked like the handle you have on a lawnmower that lets the deck up/down. It was new, only 300 miles but I certainly wouldn't purchase it.

I'm guessing it is the SnowFox and yes it looks like Chinese junk.
