Cheap Gas????

NEW YORK (AP) — The price of a gallon of gasoline may soon start with a "2'' across much the country.
Gasoline prices typically decline in autumn, and this year they are being pulled even lower by falling global oil prices. By the end of the year, up to 30 states could have an average gasoline price of less than $3 a gallon. The average in Springfield, Missouri, is already below $3, according to Tom Kloza, chief oil analyst at the Oil Price Information Service and GasBuddy.com. Several other cities are on the brink.

If this holds true I may be able to make an extra trip this season!

Just re-worked my trip budget and normally I budget for 4 trips a year. Because of what I've spent on gas, and project to spend on the trips coming up, looks like I can had a 5th trip and still come in just under what I had figured for this season. When I made this comment in September there was no way I thought it would actually happen, but now looks like a mid-March trip is in the cards :)

Not that the price of gas determines my sledding budget, but seeing a 1 in front of most stations these days sure is nice! Too bad the snow didn't cooperate all over with the gas prices.

Gas price's don't determine my budget either and you're right I'm seeing a lot of "1's" now too. I guess what I meant to say was that I've saved enough on gas for the truck and sleds this year that I can take an extra trip. Last year total gas costs for one trip was about $500, this year it's about $220, so with an extra $280 in my pocket 4 times I've got enough left over ($1,120) to make an extra trip
