I don't have the facts yet on the motor but Yamaha has never used a motor in a dual application scenario. My guess is this motor is built specifically for this application and none other.

Ummm, apex/rx1 motor was never in a motorcycle??

Nytro engine would have been a good fit, except some states are or have a 1000cc limit. That's why no SxS are over 999cc.

That's correct, the APEX or RX 1 engine were not in a motorcycle. I'm not saying they may not have shared some technology but they are no where near the same. I've had enough meetings with Yamaha to know they will not share engines for different applications. I sure wish they would though, believe me I've tried!!
