This is a new Yamaha unit which I believe is still a prototype. It is electric start, 12hp, 32" cut,,,,power everything and man does it blow. I have seen Pat use this thing in 12" of fresh and it blows it nearly over the building. We're looking for feedback on this heavy duty unit. It really is impressive on how easy it moves snow. Pat cut a path cross his yard through untouched snow at least 100 yards and it just goes like crazy. Just by seeing it and hearing about it, what would you think a unit like this should be priced at? Keep in mind it's not your typical small driveway blower like we are used to seeing. This unit also has a feature that allows you to pitch the angle of cut to dig or leave a few inches. Thanks in advance for you feedback!

Professional Series
Powerful performance is an understatement. No other snowblower can match the Ariens Professional Sno-Thro Series' dependability and functionality. This snow thrower is large and puts you in complete charge of even the most intimidating snow - including the deepest drifts and the thickest snowplow packed driveways.

It's gotta be true, I read it on the internet!

Retail is $5349 and It only has a 12hp engine. I can not find a yamaha with a 36" wide path, all i find in 12 hp are 32". My 1985 36" wide path Wheel Horse has a 18 HP twin.

or a used tractor with a bucket, or pay your neighbor to plow it with his truck for 5 years
I plow with a truck and eventually you need to push your banks back if you don't have room. With a blower like this you would never need that to happen. There is an application for a commercial blower and I could actually use one but again, lots of money

That seems ridiculously high for a walk-behind. I have a 24hp twin cyl tractor and 42" 2-stage blower and am only in it for $3600 brand new.

Agreed, Lenny wanted us to guess and that is my guess. Yamaha can command big bucks. What did you buy for $3600?
