John,
I may be able to help you out, I mean I need to earn the steak dinner right? When would you like to see that pile gone? Kip said I can come get it and bring it up so LMK.

It's safe as long as the temps are cold. Definitely a no go if temps are warm. I have seen what that snow on the shop roof can do to trees several inches in diameter. It only slides when the temps are warm though. Nothing to hit beneath the snow- as long as you go where I say it's safe!

Ha, ha. Make sure Lenny's wearing a beacon and you have your probe ready!:D Don't want to loose Lenny to a roof slide.

Awesome Lenny!

Anytime you want. My schedule is pretty wide open. Just have to do something to do this afternoon around 3:30 for a very short while and do have plans to ride for a bit tomorrow afternoon, but other than that I am wide open to when ever you want to come up. I also have Monday off from my main work and on days I do have a full work schedule work out of the home, so lots of possibilities. So today, tomorrow morning or anytime on Sunday or Monday. Or any time, any day next week too!

Eagle1- That's a good one! But no clearing will be done when the roof is tempted to go. It stays locked solid when temps remain below freezing. Anything above freezing and no one goes into the "slide zone"!

we got er done! Took close to 2 hrs but learning the machine was half the battle. We took our time and gnawed away at it. There was some serious pack and ice layers. Not sure how else we could have gotten through there. A small tractor with a loader would have worked but you would have had to move some serious snow just to get to the area and I am sure it would have been close to the same time and than you would have a new huge pile somewhere else,, at least now it is thrown 40-60 ft away. We also had to be careful not to dig into the grass and rock,,which we did a little of that. I gotta say I am impressed on how well it did do, especially since the tight pack was 4 ft higher than the top of the machine. From grass to top of the pile was 5.5-6 ft and that's no exageration.

Thanks guys for coming all the way up here with the blue beast! It sure is a monster. Can't think of much it would not go through.

We'll get together and get that steak dinner settled, perhaps get the wives involved.

it's kinda hard to see but there is some serious ice layers about halfway in the middle and the ice is about 4" thick, the blue monster ate it up and ate with it's mouth closed, no loud noises or bangs.

Lenny and Brad,

Thanks for making the trip up to John's with the blower. I think Brad is more of a machine than the blower itself! I'm glad it worked well for you John and I hope you make good use of your path now. Getting the wives involved sounds like a good plan to me:)

They arrived too soon for me to be able to have the video cameras battery charged and I did grab the digital SLR to shoot pics and video, but it had been left on and had a dead battery too!

So no video. :(
