I just heard from a long time friend back in shamburg they are closing the barnabys down. Is that just shamburg location or all of them? Sad sad day here for me, one of the best pizza's in chi town. Pepperoni & mushroom with extra sauce, & a pitcher of michelob. I just might have to make the 5 hr truck back home. Anybody else have anyword on this?:(

This is all third (or fourth) hand but I heard they were serving to under aged individuals and lost their license. I think it is only the Schaumberg location

Just found out that the car dealer next door (in my best marlon brando voice) Made them an offer they can't refuse.
But looks like all other stores are open. Theres even one in tallassee Shoot I make it to FL. More than chi-town.
Staying open 'til the end of jan, original close was for dec 31st but moved back to jan as fellow patrons have been hittin it hard.

Barnabys rocks, we usually have it every friday we are working at the firehouse from the Northbrook location. Their burgers are very good too.

You've made my mouth water for Barnaby's. Yummy. Have a Barnaby's where we're from and they are busy all of the time. My grown kids still frequent the place.

They are closing due to increased costs of doing business in Cook county, and the fact that their building is in need of remodeling. They did not renew their beer licence be cause they accepted an offer from the car dealer next door to them. After the response of their customers they are looking to open a smaller 50 to 60 seat location somewhere nearby. You can still eat there until later this month. I have memories of going there that go back 30+ years, it has always been a great spot for kids, and families.

Hey Smitty, what firehouse? I work maintenance for the Village of Skokie and take care of all three of theirs.

I work for Northbrook. I spent a few years at the station on Dundee just west of skokie blvd. I am at our station on the west side of town now.

We went last Friday and thankfully got there by 5pm. By 5:30 it was standing room only. Great memories. We went there after every football game in H.S.

Correct, ziegler bought the building next door and they're going to throw the Fiat dealer there. I'll miss walking there for lunch! (I'm next door over at Audi)
