true or not-? buddy says his place in Ottawa,il.
I live in Ottawa also and say it's true. My neighbor on the south side of the road has snow drifted in about 3ft. below there roof on the whole north side of there house. I'll try and posts some pics later. I had to help open roads yesterday with an end loader as the drifts were so bad the plows couldn't get through.

Northern Illinois (Rockford area)

Drifts in our driveway were anywhere from 2 feet to 6 or 7 feet tall! Even though the storm ended Wednesday morning/afternoon we didn't get dug out until 11 o clock this morning. Can't wait to go riding tonight!!!

The first pic is of our driveway. I am standing just outside our garage looking out towards the road. The second is the same spot but looking towards the shop and third and fourth is of me and my mom 'measuring' the drifts!

I was out for a little while Tuesday night helping to rescue stranded people. That was until the lightning started. It was really odd to see the bright flashes and I have ever seen it snow so hard in my life. The first picture was taken during the heavy snow fall. The second, third and fourth picture are of my dad's driveway. He had about a 6 foot drift across his entire driveway. The fifth picture is at work. Behind the skid steer is our parking lot. It was completely covered from 3-5 feet of drifted snow. The sheer volume of snow was amazing.
