Chris Burandts Take on Production Pro RMK's

Just got off the phone with Burandt! He took advantage of the early snow in Colorado and ripped one of the Production model Pro RMK 800’s.

His words to me were, "It's crazy how these production sleds pull even harder than the protos I had last year. I can't believe how rippy the throttle response is!"

We chatted a while about his ride on Tuesday and it definitely sounds like it's Polaris's turn on top. Let it snow baby!

Just thought I’d post up some firsthand experience with the production sleds since most of us have another month before we can even think about riding.

I wish once we could get a review from someone or magazine that isnt sponserd by polaris. Not that Burandt isnt telling the truth, but its hard to believe he would ever be able to be compleatly honest when Polaris is giving him money or sleds. just like its hard for the mags to saw whet they really mean when the manu's bascically support the magazine with ad dollars. Im sure the sled is great though.

You'll have 3 NON biased opinions as soon as the snow flies.

At the very least 3 of us will be rocking Pro's this year.

Chris understands that people will judge him for pretty much anything he says. He's not trying to sell anyone a sled he's just a dude who has fun riding and loves to be a part of it. Its a bummer this is peoples first thought when the guy just wanted to chat about his first impression of his new buggy. Oh well everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I will give my Non-Biased Opinion....as soon as their is enough snow.
This will be my First Polaris Sled, after riding Ski-Doos for the past 35 Years.

There is no such thing as an impartial arbiter of snowmobile truths. They best you can hope for is to hear the same thing from multiple sources, Burandt being one. They you must pool all of your knowledge and decide what snow machine will make your happy. Besides everyone knows Polaris sucks, and anyone who owns anything else than a 2006 M7, wants the terrorists to win.

That sidehilling shot is sick!

I am not a Polaris fan, but that Pro-RMK at the Milwaukee show that had the carbon fiber hood and side panels really looked sweet. If M&M Powersports only sold Polaris :)

Im sure Chris Burandt is also smart enough to NOT bite the hand that feeds him!
Like i said the new rmk im sure is awesome , but having chris burandt tell me is like a polaris salesman telling me that. He's paid to tell me that!!!!
i wann hear from the guy that is NOT paid to tell me its awesome!

looks like not a good enough salesman to get Sahen to pull one out of the garage to ride.

Obviously I don't know for sure, but I don't think that is Sahen. Sahen is a sponsored Slednecks rider now also, so I would think he would have Slednecks garb on.

Ha! I promise if I got four mtn sleds to compare from all four manufacturers and fuel $ and time to ride 'em, I'd be an impartial arbiter. :) I'm just say'n.

If your talking about the picture above that's not Sahen with him. That's Brett Rasmason (sp?)and I'm pretty sure you will not see him on a Polaris any time soon. :)

And who here thinks his sled is just "a production sled"? I'm sure the sled Poo gave him is top notch. Why would they give him anything less? Their best guy made sure everything was perfect before he saw it. Ask yourself if your sled will be the same!!

Why would they give him anything less? They don't, Polaris saves those for their real customers, after owning that pos '09 800 CFI, Polaris could hire God as a spokesman and I wouldn't believe him. It will be a long time before I'll ever consider owning another Polaris.

Not to mention that first ride of the year ALWAYS feels like your on a rocket ship! I remember when we would get are new race sleds and think "man did the factory do there homework this year! This is WAY faster than last years sled" then you pulled out last years POS beat race sled that you spent a year trying to make fast and it BLEW THE DOORS OFF YOUR NEW SLED! Then the tuning started.

Thank you Sled Solutions for sharing the awesome conversation, I am glad to hear you had a great time talking with a person with such vast knowledge and experience as Chris Burandt. If I had that conversation I would like to share it with the members of John Dee and not expecting this post to become the center of unwanted negative criteria. I am really sorry you had to become such a victim of negative replies when this posting was suppose to fun, not to mention BRAND bashing which I thought was not allowed on this website.

I have ridden all brands of sleds all they all have their ups and downs. I have nothing but good things to say about all brands beside my chosen brand, POLARIS. Furthemore I can guarantee I would never bash on a brand and take someone's enthuasium away from them. One more thing, I wouldn't bash Polaris because they gave Chris Burandt the best they have, its part of the deal.

Sled Solutions, Ann and I will see you guys at the Novi Snow Show and hope buy something from you guys and share some great conversations. (PS: Rob and Serena said Hi and they are sorry they won't be able to make this year)

I agree, it's sad. Turn a guy's excitement into a rip fest.
