see heres the deal....what ever sled YOU ride.....is in storage...why johnny...because it cannot handle even one of these trails or rides since it breaks very easily johnny....that's why....I don't dare take it out unless conditions are PERFECT....but I see your arctic cats can run on basically nothing it was designed for and more....did ya overheat there johnny every mile....no triple x....ran like a sled with EFI....nuther DOH....I have owned all the sleds...yam...pol...ski....and cats....and I learnt sumtin YEARS and YEARS ago....that cats take more damage and keep on a going on....run in the most extreme temps and environments and don't foul plugs....and can bolt parts on and off rather easily....YOU sir have yet to learn this BASIC TENET of snowmaching yet and flounder in the world of uncertainty and fear of repairs on your brand and how hard or a PIA it will be...my CATS are easy so riding like this is nothing but a thing...I aint scared....lol...plus triple X....tats what I likes...the woods all to meself...happy a-arms dude and stabil aways

Nice, we folks always wonder bout you. We received our answer, you crazy. Heck some these guys no ride unless trails groomed, 8" base, and pavement snow covered. Arctic Scrap good runner dar. Where's the photos of water stuck excursions, cant let us down now.

all true....to double check me open your American snowmobilier mag that has the shootout results.....in the article where they run all the stock sleds....you will notice that the CROSSTOUR was brought late to the event and I quote....there was not enough time to stud this machine....clue number one....and in the times at intervals you will also notice it beat the sidewinder out of the hole....hole shot...30 mph....60 mph...and only at the end did the sidewinder win....the sidewinder was studded as all other sleds....but this proves what I always say...an unstudded sled gets better hookup and holeshots....mind you now this is a stock old mans touring machine that whipped azz on a sidewinder out of the hole and it was unstudded...clue 2....now mine is not an old mans sleds...and I have further adjusted the RPMs to the powerband setting on the dyno sheet....clue 3...and have lowered the limiter straps...like I say 100 times to do...( Vehicle Cone Index Number equal zero is the fastest setting on a tracked vehicle)...and other suspension adjustments....which I have no doubt that on shaved ice track with no studs...I can easily take a sidewinder at 660 feet before it starts to spool....at 1000 feet he will be hard pressed to pass me but MIGHT win...I am confident in my reaction time and how I sit and my aerodynamics that I will prevail.....get the book out and study it.....some clues to setup are always at the shootout....I have used it for every sled...doing opposite of the newbie reporters that set these up for the races since by there own admissions point out what not to do...studding is one...because in that same book is an article about how good the computer is at lug design on the new alpha track design....clue 4...I have said that 100 times too...along with drive train ratio....of which a sled definitely has...again....opposite the majority

then the 1062 miles in 48 hours....yes I did that....numbers were on my speedo...I just didn't pull that out dude

does all this help deflate your ego yet? give me a run...whose got a sidewinder that needs embarrassed by a CROSSTREK ES? let me know....LOL.....don't be another F7BEN gone wrong....ROTFLMAO

So what year did you win?

I did not race...I said my sled....XF crosstrek won...it was designed for that race and cross country races basically....I wanted to race the iron dog but could not get a sponsor as I needed 3 of these machines to race....so I ran some terrain and conditions like water crossings and long azz sand runs for the length of half the race which is 2050 miles basically to see if I could get those miles in the time it takes the racers....they go 7 days....so in 2 days if I was able to do it in less than half the time I might be able to win it....might....cause when you throw Alaska into the mix...all bets are off....heres the list....polarious just won 2018 and is not on this list yet

All 4 major manufacturers have won the Iron Dog:

Polaris, 15
Arctic Cat, 11
Ski-Doo, 4
Yamaha, 3

Arctic Cat has the current victory in 2017. Polaris won 3 races in a row from 2010 to 2012. Ski-Doo’s first victory came in 2004, then two back to back victories in 2012 and 2013 and again in 2016. Prior to that, Arctic Cat won 10 of 12 and has added their 11th win in 2017. Yamaha won 3 times in the first 7 races but has not won since 1990.

after this tater tour....since turning on hard grabbing sand and whatnot....you actually tweek stuff like magilla gorilla.....metal fatigue and settling of parts....you need to realign your skis and track....its similar when riding in these conditions to 2 guys holding yer skis whilst ya yank on the bars to straighten them....please...everyone has done this at some point or another when sledding....so check your if you ride in these conditions....my track was off center by aboot 3/16 or .180 of an inch from side to side and one ski on the front was 1/8 or .120 of an inch off the correct toe alignment....most would not notice this....but in slush it will make your sled track left or right slighty under WOT....slows you down to like a lot of MPH IMO....so check yours....mine is spot on now ready for next season...good luck...let me know if ya need directions to adjust these...you should check that anyways if your machine is 2 years old or newer...steering parts settle in...so does the chassis...there is give and play designed in them but I am anal for perfection and speed....LOL

Being that this thread has been labeled Cinco Dey Mayo 2018 TATER TOUR,
I would like to add something in the spirit of the thread...

Spanish meaning of the word WHEELCHAIR

There is only 1 donut left, but WHEELCHAIR

IDK .180 and .120 are tight numbers for floppy n sloppy ski or track. Pull the Rope and Hope works
No micrometers needed
