clam shell support rod Broke

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement lift assist for my chilton clam shell trailer. Mine is the type that is in the middle and folds forward when closed. The hing broke in the middle wher the spring goes through

Mine broke too, the thing is falling apart. We now have 2x4's on each side with bolts thru the ends of them to hold the top up, and the handle for the cap just broke off today. She's old and only 8x10 so we're gettin rid of her after this year, makes great summer storage still.

Not familar with this trailer if it is just a strut you check auto parts stores. I match a strut for a topper doing this. If you take with you be able to get close.
