i wet sand my tunnel with 1000 grit then 1500 then 2000 then i use autosol, the idea is to get the aluminum free of scratches and high and lows !!
then i just maintain the tunnel with the autosol every few times out!!works great ,mothers cant hang with this stuff ,ive tried it all!!

Same thing but I wet sand with 400 and finish with 1000ish just to smooth it. It will take too long using all that fine stuff. Then I have been using the mothers powerball and using rubbing compound then mothers chrome pollish and it turns to a work of art. I would like to find a better pollish that works quicker. I worked for a guy that had me pollish an alluminum semi trailer and i used a pollish that peterbuilt sells and it worked great, too bad I cant find that.

I have gotten good results with Busch's Aluminum Polish. Used it on the fuel tanks, wheels and headache rack on my truck. Much easier than Mother's to apply and remove. You can find it at the finer truckstops near you or online.

X2 on the white diamonds..it makes all others look like a waste of time! The only place I know it's for sale is Pat's Yamaha.

I tried the white diamond polish I bought at advanced autopart, and it really does work great. It didnt work the greatest when using my little buffer on the die grinder but by hand it worked wonders. I only messed around a little, but might see how it does with the powerball tomorrow, but best hand polish iv ever used
