Hey! They do make aluminum polish however soft scrub works too. I just used it on my sled.

Not sure on the rest of the suspension

For the suspension: disassemble, inspect, and wire wheel everything that needs it - then have it powder coated, or take the less expensive route and give it 3-4 coats of a good paint, in a warm environment. It will look good for a few years at least, when you should take it all apart and inspect it again anyway.

But I may be going over the top......

OR

You can just take it somewhere and ride it, and do that work in the summer!!

Here's a link to a product I've used, good stuff but it still takes a lot of Elbow Grease. https://www.biokleen.com/snowmobile-cleaners

Polishing won't remove the oxidation, you need to remove that first and then hit it with the polish. The Aluma Kleen worked the best of any products I tried over the years. I finally gave up and bought a sled with a painted tunnel.:)

Wire wheel the rust as clean as you can get it. Then coat it with POR 15. Seals the surface, and forms a protective coating.

Go bang the late season snow that removes rust from a not so used sled ... has always worked good for me .... that why my old rust buckets look so good..... once in the trailer I squirt some w d on it and use the old pray method
