Congrats and welcome to retirement.
After working since I was a teen, I sold my Pizza Company in 2007 at age 65.
Still miss the people contact but I'm enjoying the retired life.

Thanks very much for the well wishes!! It is very humbling to have you members that I respect very much and most of whom I have never personally met, take the time to acknowledge my little life moment. I guess that’s what makes this site unique.

No immediate big plans. My investment firm (Mega-Millions/Powerball L.L.C) hasn’t provided the return on investment that I expected so our lifestyle will continue to be modest but as of now, I haven’t given up any of my sleds. There are so many of you out there that I would love to spend some time riding with and some I’d just like to watch from a safe distance. Who knows, maybe some of that will happen next winter. I also have about 5 years of vintage projects queued up for the slow times of the year.

We were fortunate to find a little place on Lake of the Woods about a year and a half ago that we could afford and it will continue to figure into our future activities. I’ll be doing a bunch of remodeling work this summer, mixed in with a lot of fishing, and I plan to enjoy this evening scene regularly this summer.

Congrats. You didn't look old enough to retire in the fishing pics you posted last year. So you are either very well preserved or else you got to quit early. Good for you. But you are lying about that supposed pic of LOW with beer on the railing. The waves are always 3 feet high or more on LOW.

That is funny! I think the key word is "preserved", kind of like a fossil.

You definitely got it right about LOW, which is why we went to the Canadian side. Trying to fish the Big Traverse we would get blown off the lake at least half the time.

Hope you guys get some ride-able snow next year up in your neck of the woods. Would like to take a ride through the gorge over to Bottineau.

Wow Kelly! That is Fantastic!

Congratulations my friend! That picture says it all. What a feeling that must be. I don't know if I will
ever be able to say that (on my own doings,...) It was great that you worked hard at a place that
you never got downsized or whatever and ended it on YOUR terms! and to have your place to get away
to,... THAT is so cool! CHEERS! Bro! and many happy trails!

:)

Thanks Again JD’ers!

It’s only been a week but this retirement thing seems to be working. I think I can now recommend it. I’m really surprised a how little I’ve thought about my old job, probably a sign that the timing really was right.

Hope that the riding next winter continues to be a mixed bag of riding experiences, both vintage and late model - all of which are great in their own way. Still haven't sold the RMK so I guess I'm holding out hope that one more high altitude riding trip could happen. I’m thinking that if I put a short windshield on it my riding will improve to the point that I could consider another trip. No?

Take the windshield completely off and add a dozen Team stickers. Should be good for another 5 or 6 trips!

I'd say take it off, put the Mohawk and backpack on and you'll feel like a kid again and you'll take those 5 trips all in one year! (somebody had to say it)

Sorry Eagle1, I know the feeling.

Thanks guys for the suggestions on extending the riding. I like the idea of no windshield at all. Cheaper and I like the look. Wonder if I can get a Mohawk in gray? I want it to look natural. I do have a backpack.
