Conover to Big Bay, then Hurley and back

great trip, good snow, but ran into some ice/sleet that slowed us down limiting our vision with ice on the shields. put on just over 1000 miles on our 3 day backpack trip.

thanks guys, we have never headed East before, we usually run North or West from Conover, I could not believe the snow in Ishpeming, When we woke up and started riding
you could not see the trail there were so many drifts over the trail. It was literally the best snow I have ever ridden, like offtrail only we were on the trail.

oh by the way, the 1000 miles was in 5 days, The backpack loop was 3 days and we screwed around 2 other days!

Yes there are 3 pic of Mt Arvon the stucks, the others up top are Lake of the clouds...We had a blast! Great ride.

Doo King will have to answer that, I just follow. Doo King .....did you see the pic where you jumped out and above the frame. I could not see with the sun glare either, man that would have been a good shot!

We stumbled on it due to some riders blocking the signs for the turn on 14, we went straight ahead instead of turning staying on 14, it is just 1.5 miles up the trail. See map http://www.fishweb.com/maps/baraga/trails/lanse/index.html

Muss, yes that would have been an epic pic! We had an awesome week! Going to try to get some more miles in at Dutch Hollow this weekend. Temps are supposed to hold, I was up there today my thermostat on the furnace went out. Replaced it and booked back home. Snow conditions still good there.
