Cooke City

This is my first time in Cooke City in the summer and first time back since 2008. Yup it is as big as I remember! We took in the famous Beartooth Pass then took a drive down to Cody and was amazed by the beauty of the Chief Joseph Highway as well. Today we will see if we can get the truck up to Daisy Pass then do some hiking. It has been raining non stop so things may be a bit slippery. This coming week should put out some better weather and we will play tourist in Yellowstone Park!
Pics are from the Beartooth Pass.

If you get up high enough in elevation this morning, you may just find some fresh snow falling! If so, we want pics! :)

A little breakfast first then up we go. If it is snowing you know I will get a pic! My thumb keeps twitching and it won't stop!

Just walked out to Soda Butte Creek and looked up to see snow only a few hundred feet above Silver Gate. Oh man!

We went through Beartooth Pass last Friday, then down through Cook. Rainy and visibility was poor. The temp was 37 degrees at the summit and I thought for sure the rain would change to snow, but it stayed as rain while we were there.
