That is crazy, not safety rope. Just a hook when you want to rest. You couldn't pay me enough to do that.

I nearly crapped my pants just watching that!

I would love to be on the receiving end of his paycheck each week!

i wonder if they have parachutes in case of a fall, many years ago here in mn some guys were climbing a tower like that, probly only 700' but there were 3 guys at least mid way up when the tower collapsed and the 3 fell to the ground dead on impact, after knowing that story and watching this, it made my stomach a little weasy, gotta give them guys credit, i wonder if he has a no fear sticker on the back of his truck.

What do you do when you get to the top and start working and drop the only 9/16 wrench you have in your bag of tools....

Pray that tool doesn't hit anything of value at ground level. It would definetly be at terminal velocity. Any one interested in doing this for a living drop me a line. We do this in the midwest but seldom get over 480'

I wonder how much it sways. No way could I do that. YIKES!!!!!!!!!! one slip of the foot or glove and it could be over.

That's what I was thinking. When I was younger, I use to help put up grain legs and those swayed. TWO GUYS WERE ON THAT LITTLE POLE!

That is called rime ice. It forms when a cloud containing water vapor comes into contact with an object that is below freezing. Instead of dew forming, you have ice. Same thing happens in the mountains to trees near the higher peaks all the time.

Don't ask me to explain how the droplets of water can remain in a liquid form even when the air temp is below freezing. Some nasty thermodynamics involved.

Can you tell me the difference between Rime Ice and Hoarfrost in regards on how it forms? You know this kinda sucks. It is like the students trying to doop the teacher!!!!
