1.5 million to study lizards walking on treadmills! You can't make this stuff up. I urge you to call or email your congress and senators to ask them if they voted for it and let them know how disgusted you are while millions of Americans are suffering! I know there is of the ones that did not and I believe that it's about 7 people.

Agreed! But.... I completely agree to less money to foreign countries, there are also things included in this package that don't and wont have any bearing as to the "pandemic" effecting our country, Yes it is also affecting the world but this time we need to take care of our own first!! I don't necessarily agree with the man's wanting to send americans $2000 either, Not to all americans, there are many who are not directly affected by the pandemic or not affected by the pandemic at all, just printing money doesn't fix things. We need to figure out how to preserve the peoples livlihoods that have been directly affected FIRST, We need to place more control on the moneys being dispersed, we need to preserve small business! over 110,000 small businesses closed in the last year as a result of, and where is their help? I have always said too that since it is a tax payers who fund the very people who are giving it and the money going out publish a list so people can see who took the money and pillaged the last package! Businesses, Owners and employees that have been directly affected at no fault of their own should be first to receive any stimulus package, more accountability of those who take it and didn't necessarily need to while others got nothing! we need to take care of our own first, throw out all the other bull poop that doesn't have any bearing on the problem at hand, its incredible some of the things that are included in this package, and how many millions of dollars were wasted to form it?? and it seems like little effort to take care of our own! I too hope he veto's it, but don't think printing $2000 checks is necessary either, would like to see more effort to preserve small business and those directly affected by this instead of policing the world! IMO

If you took half of the waste in this bill and designated it towards actually helping Americans deal with the hardship that has been caused by the COVID/Decision makers (Could these be the same people that actually voted for all the waste?) you would be able to give $2,000.00 to everyone that actually needed it. All I have to say is shame on Washington!
There is a lot of miss information being put out by the media right now. All this extra spending is NOT from the stimulus bill. This is from the 1.4 Trillion economic bill to keep the government open, and both bills were pushed through together. These are spending numbers that was agreed upon from this administration to fund all the help to other nations and such, and just extended. The stimulus is a separate spending venture from the money going out to other interests. We should keep this part of the conversation straight. Right or wrong, I just can’t see where we are getting all the money for this. I say help the American people first, then the rest of the world if we can afford it.
They tacked the Covid Relief on to annual spending bill to keep the government running. Not that bill on its own is not full of Pork year in and year out but we notice it less when it is not combined with something we actually care about. If they passed a stand alone Covid Relief bill months ago when this whole debate over the second relief started they would have still been dumping millions of our tax dollars on Gender Neutral Pakistani lizards running on treadmills in Egypt.
Also not like your representatives had a chance to review the 5,600 page bill before they were forced to vote on it, like Nancy says it is too big to read and understand so just vote "Ya!"

We can't. China lends us money so we can send to other nations. Makes no sense. The way we are headed with our debt, China will own us before you know it, unless they already do.
That's a deep rabbit hole to go down but I never understood... We don't like their way of life, their governing body and way about it, don't like their products and unfair trade practices, don't like their labor practices but..... Their money is just fine. I just don't get it and honestly, fiscally I think they already do own us. Some day we will regret it.
Covid Relief, Annual Spending bill who cares lets maybe take care of our people right here in our country that need help, are staving, are homeless we have plenty of them. Once thats done then maybe look elsewhere but to continue to go on and give every frickin country millions and half of them hate us doesn't make sense. Again doesn't matter what side your on this is just common sense. I mean heck why not give every one in the states legally 2k not just the people that supposedly claim less money. Makes more sense to me doing that and maybe that would help the economy more. One think this great president imo did is really bring out how deep the swamp really is. This can't continue.
