How can a girlfriend screw your credit over ?

I always have thought I was safe and has worked quite well, financially, with someone I'm not married to ?

Dude, never ever co sign a loan for a friend or girlfriend you are just asking for problems. If for what ever reason they quit paying you are still responsible for the loan. I use to be a collections agent and some of the worse cases I had were boy friend, girl friend buying a car together and then one splits or loses their job

Toys are toys. Big boys pay cash for them. If you have bad credit you do not need sleds. It is a growing up process. Pay your bills and earn your way. sure I dish out tough love, but it just has to be. Your time will come. Check out the Ramsey dude, I did not have him when I started out.

you can try to get someone close to you as a co-signer on a loan, but if you don't pay they will have to and it reflects in their credit score. remember there are 3 types of people that co-sign loans. parents, saints or idiots

Priorities

Money for your toys, hmmmm...in the Keweenaw it is very common to own and drive a 95' something or other truck as your main driver, you then load your $12000.00 2011 sled in the back, priorities are priorities. So the true question is what are you currently driving, if its newer than 10 years old your priorities are/were wrong, lol.

Well said. As some of you saw, I sold a Suburban this year. We bought a 96 Cavalier (for me) And a 01 Lincoln Navigator ( her). It's all about priorities. We dumped 800.00 in payments just by driving something older. Still got to work today, just spent less, and I'm looking for a sled now.

If you fall to sleep with a snowmobile magazine. If you think of snow all summer long. If your favorite moment is closing in on a fellow sledder from the back of the pack when the smell of two stroke oil and snow mist is in your face. We all make choices in life. Set your priorities and go for it. Perhaps you can make other sacrifices to make this happen. Good luck!

Then you should see a Doctor...
