Cubs...Schmubs. I watched just to see the Indians get the shutout

As Timo put his disclaimer up, I would also say that I am a White Sox fan, although only very casually. I only really started getting into baseball the last several years, probably cause my kids play more now and I was always interested in Theo. I have become "caught up" in the Cubs frenzy ever since Theo was hired, so yeah I guess I am a "fair weather fan."
That being stated, the Indians really needed that game 2. Ill go back to my original, but now updated statement, (just reverse game 1 and 2 results) but Hendricks will take game 3, Kluber comes back for a win but the Cubs having already seen him will hit him and score for game 4 and the Cubs win out after that. Series over in 6.

durp, they want 250-1250 to even get in around wrigleyville..thats not happening..so it looks like buffalo grove sat and around norrige sunday

Yeah, the cost for the games and bars were pretty ridiculous but they actually went down since Sunday wasn't a clincher. Tickets were a mere,give or take, 1,500

Im still sticking to my "choking" definiton again. Cubs get beat 4-2, not going to call that a choke., they get swept or 4-1... yeah that would be a choke. Not sure if people don't do any research but the Indians are legit and are still missing 2 good pitchers. Im not a World Series historian by any means but baseball is an odd sport, best team doesn't always win. Cubs are the best team if you ask anyone who knows anything about baseball.
One thing I do have a complaint with is people saying their "surprised" the Cubs are in the WS. Ummm...have you been paying attention to what they have been doing since 2011? They laid out a plan, followed that plan and have been very transparent since Theo was hired. Theo has a proven track record. Im not surprised at all. In fact, they can be better next year, which still doesn't equal automatic WS success. Game 6 Tuesday! I do think Indians have the edge, middle relievers are rested, their home, etc... Should be fun!

Big players play big in big games. The cubs 'big' players have not been consistent and they have to be to beat the Indians 2 more games. The heat is on, can they handle it...

Cubs have yet to show they can touch the kluber/miller combo. I don't see how anyone could feel good about game 7. Either way got to get there.
Lol, Im surprised Cutler didn't ask to stay OUT of the Vikes game, hes gonna get roughed up. Vikes needed this game to bounce back and get their offense rolling.
As for the Cubs, their star players haven't been consistent, still extremely young. The only confidence in a game 7 for the Cubs would be that this is the 3rd time seeing Kluber this series. The more a batter sees a pitcher the advantage swings more to the batter. But, Kluber has been pitching lights out. Game 6 the Indians will have their middle relievers back so that doesn't bode well for the Cubs. Whichever way it goes it has been fun.
One cool thing that the Indians are doing is hosting the "watch parties" at their stadium and donating all profits to local charities, pretty cool and a fun fan experience.

well, from my original predictions I only picked 2 out of the 5 games correctly and I have Cleveland winning tonight to tie the series. so much for what I know! Game 6, could be a clincher or push the series to a game 7. Im hoping for a game 7 to see if the Cubs can come back and hit Kluber. The ratings for game 5 were off the charts, it actually beat the Sunday night football game, which was a great matchup and game. Lets get a Cubs win and force a exciting game 7!

What a game, what a beautiful night! Hooked my TV up outside on my patio on November 1st, watching in shorts, doesn't get much better than that. Well, here comes game 7,should be a great matchup. Kluber vs Hendricks, thats what you want to see for a game 7. This series needs to get over with, im staying up too late, getting a beer belly and being quite unproductive at work!
