MN extended the ban for dining in through the holidays.
On Wednesday this week, about 100 bars and businesses opened up in protest. The attorney general pulled their liquor licenses.

If she doesn't she has no heart at all. People are losing their jobs and businesses right now. Nothing funny about it! Yup typical government, they can do what they want. Until they start paying the damn bills they can shove it!! Whitmer could botch a one man parade!

heard blurp on news this morning Wisconsin trying to ban all public gatherings, sounding like courts not going to allow it, meanwhile 80,000 more first time people applied for unemployment, businesses continue to shutter and who knows what's to come after Jan 20. Today is the day Michigan's orders are supposed to expire, for all the bars, restaurants, eateries and lodging in the north woods I will be watching closely with fingers crossed and hope the governor makes the RIGHT call, allow the business owners and patrons decide if they feel safe to open and conduct business. And for those nay sayers and people from the outside looking in, these are peoples livelihoods who have everything on the line, these are peoples dreams and life long investments, we cant continue to take this from them over something that has a 99% chance of survival. And again I remind all of you who think this is the right thing to do...the flu (whether its the same thing or not) kills on average 500,000 people a year in the last 5 years on average 2,500.00 people that's with a vaccine that at best is somewhere between 40% and 60% effective and what have we done.... NOTHING...looked the other way...ACCEPTED it! and guess what we are doing it again this year with little or no mention of the flu at all. I HOPE and PRAY that the governor makes the RIGHT decision for the bars, restaurants and lodging so that they can conduct their business at I time of year they are most dependent on, leave it up to the business owners if they feel safe to be open and leave it up to the customer/patron to decide if they feel safe entering. Like kip said they have bills to pay! lets not take this away from them! we cant continue to do this! and lets not forget CDC states 1.4% of cases come from bars and eateries ONE...POINT...FOUR...PERCENT!!! isn't the CDC the science we are supposed to follow???!!! I say again OPEN IT UP!!! we need to stop this madness!!! stop the CONTROL!!! They come to my shop they better bring help... Im not going!!!

Not sure what will happen in MI, but you all know, if there was supposed to be some big announcement that businesses were "allowed" to start operating again, wouldn't that be a prime time to put your lousy mug on the TV and proclaim it?? These politicians - they have to take credit or it ain't happening.....

Hopefully Whitmer will ease restaurant restrictions tomorrow not rational imo to continue.

Not rational? LOL, nothing that Whitmer does is rational. None of the lockdowns have been rational.

If you think she won't extend restrictions again, think again.

Sweet, time for a return to speakeasies! I always wondered what it was like to live during prohibition. I'm gonna get a fast car and run moonshine for a living. Beep beep, MF'ers!

Whitmer is holding press conference right now and as of now looks like January 15th before she opens bars and restaurants but did say that could change.

It’s all about control and not science. I’m currently doing a covid related job in one of the biggest hospitals in the mid west. They took down their Covid wing we did the ventilation on months ago. Less then 20 covid patients admitted a day. Only ones having trouble breathing get admitted. Most get the two shot treatment and get sent home.

Hospitals are going broke and looking for federal and state funding because they have so many empty beds and their income is down by 40%. I’ve done work in about 6 hospitals in the last few months. Some covid related.

That just plain sucks!!! Hopefully they can pull through!! and the whackadoodle must know something on Jan 15 that we all don't know or get, wouldn't hold my breath on things changing then either as vaccine not going to be ready for general population till summer of 2021 and by mid January we will be in the thick of flu season, uh oh I forgot there is no more flu (or at least you hear no mention of it) ooops

I hope Wisconsin is able to hold out, especially for my kids. I have three who can't wait for drag races and radar runs, and one that is praying the US Wrestling tournament in the dells doesn't get canceled. She couldn't believe it when I agreed to enter her. I told her you've been punished enough. It might be the only real Wrestling tournament she gets to compete in all season.
