1" in Escanaba(South Central U.P.) This should be it for the rest of the month. Could be one of the driest Decembers in many years. 5" of very dry snow on the ground. We're two days of a January thaw away from all grass. How's other areas away from Lake Effect fairing so far this winter?

A picture is worth a thousand words. Simple, don't go to places away from lake effect.

Another dusting here in southern WI. last night. I think it's snowed 4 or 5 times this season, and none of those have been more than an inch. Colder than all get out so the ground will surely be froze if it does ever snow. Just waiting to fire up the groomer, but there aint a flurry in sight for the next 10 days. It either goes to our north or to our south....but southern WI is in a funk of funks the last couple yrs.

The Bayfield WI area has received 6"+ the past week on top of the earlier snow. The FR's have a very good base and groomed trails range from fair to excellent depending on the terrain and area.
