TRY North Central Wisconsin....Tomahawk, Minocqua, Rhinelander.....they keep talking about a BIG Snow storm... if we got even 3-6 inches the trails would be very nice around here...we have a nice base, and most lakes have been marked (trucks are driving on them)..it's a bit thin right now on the trails...but like I said...if we get some snow...watch the weather next Tuesday and Wednesday....it would save you hours of driving time

Personally I think either way you would be fine. Might have a better chance with rooms towards Munising. We where in Marquette this last weekend and for the most part trails where good. I heard more towards Munising they where better. Plus it looks like Munising has received another 6in since Monday. We actually seen very little traffic in the middle to east side of the U.P, this last weekend. I had some friends in the West and the Peninsula they said there was a ton of traffic.

I would tend to go for the Munising area. They have the grooming issues settled, and reports have been all positive on depth of snow and trail conditions. Munising to Gr. Marais to Paradise all show healthy snow depths.
Believe you'll find less traffic to the east than WUP area.
If it was same drive time for me I would tend to go Munising more often than I do. Never had a bad ride up that way.

I'm heading to Munising area tomorrow, but if you are looking out two weeks, I would try to give our cheese head friends some love. I think conditions will be right, much less travel, many more destination options and the businesses have been greatly impacted by the lack of snow this year.
