Deck-Over vs. In-Line

I know this has been covered a hundred if not a thousand times but since we can’t ride I’ll ask anyway. Please give me your opinions on the pros and cons of a 25’ deck-over vs. a 29’ inline aluminum trailer. Both trailers are new Stealth Predators and are the same price. What is your preference and why. Thanks in advance for your input.

Inlines pull better. If I where to go with a 8.5' trailer I would do a car trailer type.

My next trailer will be like this.

I prefer the deckover style trailer. I've watched guys load the inline trailers. I can load my sleds and be gone long before they're done "jockeying" them around to fit and tying them down so they don't hit each other in transit. I've got a diesel p/u that handles the wider trailer just fine. I'm not knocking the inline trailers i just prefer the wider trailer. You're gonna get a lot of opinions on this(kinda like an oil thread),and in the end it comes down to personal preference.

Whats the difference between a 8.5' car trailer width and a deckover sled trailer width? They are both 8.5'

Lower CG, easier loading, larger wheels, lower overall height with same interior size (generally taller interior). After having a trailer with a 6' 6" interior I can never imagine not being able to walk around inside my trailer.

Inline! As mvedepo said Low center of gravity, Large tires & wheels. Much better bearing life. Just buy the size you will need and no joking sleds around.

Just bought an 25' Inline Stealth Trailer this fall and could honestly say it's a great trailer. The best thing about the Inline is you can easily see around the trailer through the mirrors on the road. Pulled it on one trip so far through a blizzard and it handled great. I have the e-track tie down system on both walls plus d-rings in the floor and the only moving I need to do with the sleds inside it to shift the back of the sled towards the wall to tie it down and it makes more room for the next sled. I just got a 7 x 17 stealth predator inline a month ago, so glad I got that. Could see down the sides nicely for the 250 mile trip home, and loading it with sleds shouldn't take all that much time, a longer trailer shouldn't take much longer if you plan it right. And being lower IMO is nicer, whether using it for sleds or whatever else you end up using the trailer for.

I just got a Lightning 7x23 and love the way it pulls and seeing around it is awesome too! it is a bit of jockying around but I got it to pull my Harley out west in the summer too and having it so low to the ground makes it easy to ride my Bagger up in it!

I'm still on the fence; does anyone have an 8.5' x 25' or longer deck over? The newer style with 14" wheels.

I would get an inline for sure. It might be longer but will have a lot less wind resistance and get better MPGs. You can see around it, it sits lower which would allow you to haul bikes and such.

I don't think anyone with an inline wishes they had a deck over... but know plenty of people with deck overs that want an inline.

I think the only real negative with the inlines maybe when you get to the 4/5 place is if there are times when you only use 1 sled and then may have to move all them to load one sled.

I have a 25" deck over...buddy has 27" inline...Mine steel his aluminum...(I know that makes a difference to)...at the time I didn't have an extra $3 grand to spend so went with what I can afford...when i pull his I get 1 1/2 m.p.g. better then with mine.and do not feel to much has to play with weight in that factor cux I get the same mileage pulling his trailer with 4 sleds as I get pulling my 39' gooseneck trailer hailing 3 tractors so I know I am pushing 15,000 l.b.s. there.
