Delorme Inreach SE or spot gen 3

I am finding myself riding alone or riding with my wife on a two up without anyone riding with us much more often than I have in the past. Because of this I'm considering one of the two GPS tracking devices and I"m leaning towards the Inreach due to the two way communication option as well as the seasonal subscription plan offers. I'm interested in hearing any experiences with either of the devices as well as the best mounting/carrying options for good reception. Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

I have a spot gen 2. I usually ride with it. When I ride in the mountains out west I have a backpack and put it in there. Trail ridding I put it in my map bag on the sled. It always has reception. Friends and family like the tracking feature and the check in feature. Thankfully I have never had to use the 911 button yet. I am probably going to switch to the DeLorme because of the two way communication. I would read all the internet reviews on each and take them with a grain of salt. The two way texting is not as good as with a phone but it is better than nothing.

I decided on the DeLorme due to the two way messaging and the more flexible packages. I did read a lot of the reviews online and think I made the right decision. I would like to make sure it's getting reception while I'm riding. Hope it works through my saddle bags.
