Diamond drive fluid change

I thought I read somewhere that it is better to remove the case, split it on the bench, and clean and refill. We tried to remove one on an 06 F5 and one on an 06 CF. Everything is loose, the case just won't come out. Are we missing something.

Did you remove the bolt that goes thru the drive shaft?I cant remember what size socket. You go thru the brake rotor with a long extension.

yes the bolt in drive shaft on break side is a long one and also a bolt under rubber that can look like steel with clutch dust on it between the 2 clutches left hand side of dd on frame grab that rubber and pull it out nut under that.also allllot ez'r if you loosen track.and don't just split case it is ez to pull apart like 2 minn so you can get all the crud allot of nooks and crannies.

Have seen a few cases where the bolts that hold the belly pan on are sticking up thru the frame at the diamond drive area and won't allow the drive to slide out off the end of the shaft.
