Didn't know tornados could pick up a chev. 350...

A tornado a few weeks ago took out a barn a few miles away from me. The motor somehow was blown about 20 feet away from the cement slab it was sitting on while inside of a barn. Farmers had no clue how to get rid of it (too heavy) well, me and 3 other buds took a mustang hood, a few boards and used them as ramps, had to get the thing UP onto the cement slab (3-4 foot drop) and then used the boards as ramps again and slide the motor and hood up into the back of the truck with chains, we pulled it up like we were playing tug-of-war lol. Also got a ton of copper wire, and a pennzoil oil drum and the hood. it's navy blue, and in good shape, but we'll probably scrap it, which is what we're doing with the motor. We took $25 worth of lawn mower parts and other random stuff there today. Went to the barn, picked up the stuff, went to subway, ate supper and tore the whole thing apart in about 2 hours. Nothing like an impact wrench can't handle! Got quite a few pics... enjoy... the rusty motor! lol

If you still have that wire, try to get the plastic coating off it. You'll get more money at the scrap yard.

No, I pivoted the cover up, and pryed the gear off. Remember, we weren't trying to take this thing apart nicely so we could get it back together! lol I see some $$$ in my future :)
And yes, there's 10 pistons in that pic, we found 2 of them randomly laying in the ladys yard in a pile of boards. All of the spark plugs were broken off too. acatzl550 has all the #'s written down, we'll check them soon.

I want that carb n intake!! Also what's the head numbers?

We didn't plan on scrapping the carb. It's a 2-barrel. I'm trying to get #'s off the thing, but can't find anything here on the internet. I have to leave for school in 15 min. so I don't have much time to spare. I will get you #'s asap

Head # is 3795896 which says it's a 327. Block # is 3970014 which says it's a 1970-1975 350. I'm confused.

yea thats what i thought 327 heads would fit on a 350, we will probably try to sell the block, heads, intake, and carb before we scrap it

How much for carb n intake shipped to 56007? I'm scrapper myself so I know what they are worth. Thanks.

$125
engine looks to be 70-75 from a nova, I can't confirm that yet, I'm still trying to figure out all these numbers,i'll keep on looking up more #'s

$175 for block
$125 for both heads

prices are negotiable but firm for shipping (will not ship block lol)

I'd go 30 bucks on carb n intake shipped. Which is more than fair considering what scrape price is. Can send payment on Monday.

that's what it'd cost to ship it. I see most carbs on craigslist going for $150, but that is what they're asking, doesn't mean they're getting it. We plan on cleaning up the parts, carb, possibly painting the block, etc.
