MMMMmmmm Good!

Just at the South Entrance to Marinette, WI.
U.S. Highway 41
a "blast from the past"

MICKEY-LU's-BAR-B-Q
a small diner right out of the pages of "Happy Days"
Worth the drive. Voted USA TODAY's top pick
(or it was in their top 10) for best mom & pop burgers
in the U.S.
Man, you can still burp them up a day later! LOL!
They are all made on an open fire-place style open pit
Charcol bar-b-que right behind the counter.
Great milk shakes also.

Glad somethings stay the same.

RE:MMMmmmmm

Unfortunately Toolmaker,.... it does not.
I does come within a half mile from there,...
but in high traffic area.
Still worth a stop if you're in the area.

We are lucky enough to have two such establishments, and right on our trails too. The "HOUSE of COATES" just so. of I.G.H. on Hwy. 52 and KINGS in beautiful "downtown" Miesville, MN.. Both have great burgers and other good eats and reasonable drink prices. Great family places to stop.

I second kings........I go there all summer for burgers.......Gopher bar in st paul for conies

My vote is for Victor's 1959 Cafe in south Minneapolis (Grand & 38th). He stopped at this place a while back and has it featured in his book. I hit this place for breakfast whenever I am in the cities and can make it. Amazing Cuban food.

If you are in Marinette WI check this place out. Great bugers and still looks like the 50's. All cooked over Charcoal. Can't Sled there though:(

John,

Speaking of the XXX, did you ever try the Duane Purvis burger (peanut butter on a burger)? Or how about the Always, Popular, Favorite= grilled cheese (my personal favorite=cheap for a college student)? That was the best, greasy spoon place to go after a night of fun. We had lots of late night eats there.
