Do the Snow Dance and Pack Your Lunch

Heck, some are even refusing to shut down. It sure isn't fair to the others who follow the law and are trying to turn the curve on the covid spike in MI. The covid curve has now turned down in MI. I don't know if it was because of Whitmer's restrictions or not. I believe they helped.

Anyway, this lady's a$$ should be in jail.

Tons of restaurants in IL are refusing to shut down and the governor is doing nothing about. I have no problem eating in any restaurant right now nor have all year. You can think that lady should go to jail but I will never agree with that. She is doing what she needs to do to survive. Which is what everyone should do with COVID. If your afraid of it, elderly or have pre-existing conditions stay at home. No need for the rest of us to ruin our careers or businesses.

I've lost two family members from covid and I am all for opening the economy back up. If you have health issues or are elderly stay home and protect yourself. Both people I lost were hospitalized and on a ventilator, every one else that just stayed home and rested got better. My step mon has major health issues and recovered no problem. I believe the ventilator hurts more than it helps

Sidnaw station is open from noon to 8pm. They are doing take out and converted a bit to a convenience store until they can go back to normal. Check their FB for their hours if you a really need gas. Their hours could change for the better,if demand improves.

I take a couple things from your post MP, You obviously don't have any money problems or have to rely on earning a paycheck, if so congrats, thats what we all work for. Thats not reality for the majority of Americans and American business owners. Secondly, as I stated in an earlier post, we need more people like this woman business owner, who fought and scratched to make something of herself to stand up and push back as well. She is absolutely correct in saying it is not her responsibility make people wear masks, etc. Lastly, it is up to the individual to decide if they want to leave their house, dine out, wear a mask (by the way, I believe most people wear one out of respect for others). If restaurant and bar owners were polled I am sure that well over 90% of them would not agree with the restrictions being forced upon them.

The lady in Calumet is a hero,JD how long before you shut down MP? We need more people who will defend the freedoms of democracy that our forefathers fought so hard to establish!

There was another post here that directed MP to a certain location. So this is my question, why can MP say that a business women should be in jail, but someone else can't tell MP to go somewhere similar. MP is insulting the business women. Both are personal opinions. So please explain to me the difference. I doubt the woman would appreciate being told her hind end belongs in jail!

This is a tough subject to monitor for John. I know his intentions and agree with them 99% of the time. I got spanked for mentioning Biden and Harris and I deserved it based on his forum rules...I guess. Whitmer’s name is mentioned (by name) numerous times and no warnings, which I agree with. Bottom line is we all know how each other feel on this site, not too many surprises. These politicians are fair game in my opinion since it not only effects our snowmobiling season but all of our livelihoods as well. I personally don’t want to see anyone have to struggle due to horrible political decisions. I would imagine John is on edge Reading these threads going back to March, but we have never experienced anything like this in our lifetimes. Overall I think we are doing a great job keeping it civil. Thank you John for letting us discuss among ourselves.

i would also suggest to not respond to MPlayers baiting.

Well put pclark! as these restrictions continue I well bet and I hope there are more business owners will stand against the meaningless government control, and the needless loss of peoples livlihoods! it is truly a shame! and why arent we following the science on this??? CDC 1.4% of cases come from bars and eateries!! its just wrong to continue with this!

Was a great first stop last year on the 382 miler.
With COVID and the late winter start, it feels so long ago..almost like a dream.
Hopefully, we can go strong in January.

Its not every day they have snow to get down to Iron River from Hancock, so what the heck..it's the ride back north where I am like (bit off too much) but what are the options..keep riding. Then come the night moguls on 3 from Krupps north back to Houghton.

Sitting up here in TRF getting fatter, no manual labor since early July..gonna have to start with a 200 mile day and work up.
