I remember it well, it was a great one, even got to watch it at work. Everyone was thrilled to have finally beaten Russia! Cool throwback Mr. D.:cool:-Mezz

I read the title and got excited! Then I opened it. :-( I was hoping for news of a change in the weather and we would get feet of snow.

I wasn't around for the game. I enjoyed the movie they made out of it.

I was just a teenager when we won, and at the time......for me it was more than a game, it was two superpowers who were at war,(cold war) playing against each other, winner takes all.
It was also a tipping point during the cold war, it gave the USA a huge morale boost that USSR didn't get.
