The building you see in back of the dock has an interesting history. It was actually just a big old warehouse at one time. The South American great lakes tourist ship use to dock there weekly in the summer and the high school band would play for them and the folks on the ship would throw money down from the top deck to them.
Then around 1990 U.P. Power Company bought the warehouse and remolded it into an office building. When U.P. Power got bought out by the utility in Green Bay they sold the building to Mich Tech.
The building to the left of the dock is Dee Stadium. I have fond memories of both places.
