Been kind of slow on JD lately so I thought I'd add something new. This is a link to an article in SnoGoer this month. If you're into early iron and racing of the early 70's you'll likely enjoy the story. Honestly, I'd never heard of the woman but she sounds like a real character in snowmobiling history. As far as her snowmobile racing career, I think she was pretty well known in MN in the early 70's for her achievements in the Winnipeg - St. Paul 500 and her association with Polaris.

Finishing third was impressive but equally impressive was the fact that she actually won the last leg of the race that year.

Good article - lots of stuff about her life I never knew. Definitely lived life with gusto.
