1979 Jeep Wagoneer. I remember I didn't fasten my seat belt during the test... Instructor passed me anyway. Our folks bought this for the kids to drive while in high school. We really beat the **** out of this vehicle, not much left of it by the time my younger brother finished high school!

76 Cadillac Coupe Deville. In 1980.
Was Moms car. Probably only drove it 2 or 3 times after getting License. Maybe only a half dozen times before with learner permit.

I may have you all beat:

A 1954-56(?) Plymouth Belvedere(?) sedan with gargantuan tail fins, the most hideous 3-tone paint job and a "Fully Automatic 2-speed? (3-speed?) Chrysler PowerFlite(?) transmission", with push button controls at the left side of the dashboard, somewhat like so:

Oh the humiliation! :hopelessness:

Sorry, I couldn't find a representative (sufficiently hideous) picture of the vehicle to post here!

Great topic, Gary!
Took my test on my 16th birthday, June 1, 1975. Used my mom's 1968 Buick Le Sabre with the 350 CID V8 and 2 speed Powerslide transmission. This car could have easily been converted into an Great Lakes ore carrier! When the DL tester told me to do a Y turn in the street, I knocked over a garbage can! He didn't dock me though and said this is a big car. Took my written MC test the same day (didn't require MC road test then) because the only vehicle I had was a 1968 Harley 125cc 2-stroke Leggero.

had to do research on this one remember the car and color just didn't know what year....1977 olds delta 88 4 door brown with tan interior, funny how back then we didn't have all wheel drive or traction control and drove heavy rear wheel drive cars but we all still managed.

I had a '68 Le Sabre when I was a teen. Hella huge back seat! Fun times.

Yipe! Not really sure I want to respond to this...

'58 Plymouth Sport Fury (my Mom's car) in '59...at that time you could legally get license at 14 in SC...
