been there done that!! was crazy, was a trench in trail maybe wide enough for 2 sleds, never saw snow come down like that EVER! cold air north east/west winds, superior snow machine... something has to happen!! fingers crossed LOL!JD has possible heavy snow in that area mid next week...Keep an eye to the sky if you plan on traveling thru the Hurons between Lanse and Big Bay...I have been thru there in an absolute balz out blizzard (4"+ per hr) It's not something you want to encounter...
WOW!! hopefully they will find him and he is well!!Last tuesday we were in a wind storm after a recent 4"+ snowfall. Winds peaked at 45mph and we were in it. We could barely see the sled in front of us. Ended up in a valley where there wasn't one thing with color, even black for that matter. Everything was white. It felt like we were riding in a cloud. Never been in that situation before and thank God we were with a guide that day. Unfortunately a 69 year old man became separated from his group and is still missing. Last seen at Robin's roost in Island Park Idaho. The major highway was shut down to all traffic due to the white out. Crazy weather out west.
That wind event is what was in the video I sent you.WOW!! hopefully they will find him and he is well!!
