Here is an update on our Sno-Eagles snowmobile trails. Our board of directors decided last Thursday to rent a New Holland groomer to bridge the gap while our equipment is being repaired. The New Holland – which we are fondly calling “Big Blue” – arrived from Mason, Wisconsin on Friday afternoon. It was hooked up to one of our drags and went out on the trails about 5:30 PM and returned midafternoon on Saturday. It went out again Saturday about 7 PM and returned about noon on Sunday. Sunday night it went out again about 7 PM and returned about 9:30 this morning. All Sno-Eagles trails except for the Wisconsin River Bridge, the Manske Swamp. And Granpa Graham Trail have now been groomed. Many trails have been groomed more than once to return them to the smooth trails you expect from our club.We also took our Prinoth Husky out for limited service on Saturday to help with a diagnosis of its problem. A part has been ordered that may get it back on the trail full time. Our other two groomers are still down for repair. We will continue to rent Big Blue as we wait for our groomers to be back on line. With the large amount of grooming we have done combined with colder temperatures and less sled traffic, riders will find significantly better conditions on our trails. We have received many reports verifying the great improvement in our trails. We ask for your continued patience and thank you for the concern that you have expressed to us. If you see Big Blue on the trail, give the driver a thumbs up!
