So the wife says the dryer is not hot and I need to fix it. I tear it apart and find the heating element broken. I go to Kenmore on the website and cannot find the right part. I call them and the nice lady tells me 88 bucks shipped and I tell her it's to much and she say's it's a good price. I tell her I seen them for 45 and she says no. She tells me the correct part number for my model so I look it up and find it on ebay for 48 and for an extra 5 I get priority shipping. It's a genuine Kenmore/whirlpool part and it included the heat tube that not one other listing had. It's an exact match and OEM part. Man I lucked out again, lets hope it works

Lenny, you might have saved me a bunch of money. We have a Kenmore vacuum and the main hose attachment is broken. Sears wanted $90. I just found on on ebay for $15 shipped. I am following up with the seller on condition, but if it's in good condition, that will save us a new vacuum (we weren't going to pay $90 to replace the hose on a vacuum that's not worth that much)!

you got that right brotha! These things are not hard to work on. My dryer had a tech manual that tell how to diagnose problems, I found it after I saw the broken element.

I have a bad electric dryer, one of 5 that I own. Why don't you fill that VW full of premium, get yer butt to Egg Harbor, check into your free room and have a beer with me!!!!! Oh yeah, and fix my dryer!!!

In my job, I do a lot of appliance repair. The internet is a great source for all aspects. Find your make and model number and search on those things and the word "problem" and you will most likely find someone else with the same problem, someone who tells you how to fix it, and someone who tells you where to find the parts. Most appliances are made by about 4 main manufacturers who build them for everyone else.

I believe that, I got the part right away and it been working great. 3 days ago sparks shot out the electric stove and now it's down, wifey don't mind to much but hope to look at it tomorrow

Bra's have metal staves in them if they come out they short the element and then burn out

Is this supposed to be a joke? Never wash and dry a bra? Go bra-less....what???????????? Who, or Whom, invented the bra anyway.... Kenmore, GE, Whirlpool?????????????? It's a HUGE conspiracy to see boobs a flopp'n.

Lenny...there is nothing quite as uncomplicated as an electric dryer....nearly anyone can fix them....just remember to unplug them before working on them....and apparently never dry your bra in it!

I have swapped out the element from make to make so long as the wattage is the same. If the tumbler motor goes bad and you just want to buy a new dryer, remember to pull the element and it has value on ebay or craigs list.

Hey Lenny,
Maybe with all your expertise you might be able to help me with my Dishwasher.
For sum reason it just won't clean the dishes. I have tried everything and still no clean dishes. It just won't work. Below is a list of things I have tried.
1. Bought flowers.
2. Took her out for expensive dinner.
3. Dinner then a movie
4. 4X4 monster truck show
5. Took her shopping with my mad money
6. Got her car detailed
7. Had the painter repaint the kitchen
8. Give her spending monies for the Casino
9. Took her to the outlet malls(all 3 of them)
10. Stained the deck for her.

Any help would be GREATLY Appreciated
Thanks

I would say that on her next b-day, buy her some SOS pads, some dish towels, scrubbing sponges, dish soap. Maybe even throw in a oven mitt and some cool place mats. I think she would highly appreciate the kind gesture. Better yet, fill up a sink of hot soapy water first thing in the morning right after her new thoughtful gifts with a small load of dishes and just stand there smiling. You can even tell her you inquired advise about the problem on a public forum because you just didn't now what to do, she'll thank you for all this effort.

stove fried

So not too long after the dryer broke down the stove shoots out sparks. I take da dang ding apart and finded dis! I founded the part on da bay for $92,,, bedder den buying a new stove and now she works like new again. Last winter I put a new oven element and light bulb. Only problem with fixing these things yourself is that it takes longer on average I would assume waiting for parts but at the same time Di wasn't hounding me to repair it because I don't think she likes to cook to much.
