Agreed. It could also be a little terrifying if a person weren't expecting one to be in the middle of the trail. They are huge. Although, if I were on my low rider 79 I think I could cruise right under a good sized male without disturbing a single hair. Guess all I could say is "Wow, that was nuts."
Probably have to get off the trail, go slow, and travel alone or maybe with one other sled to have the best chance of a sighting. This is my future strategy but with my luck, my camera batteries would be dead. Maybe if the herd continues to increase in size, sightings from a trail might become more common.
