I’m looking at buying a new ski doo… any down side to the new etek 600?

I have a guy I ride with with a summit xp 600 etec never a issue with motor in 5k but sled seams kinda week .his stuff is bending and busting more than other guys in the crew

I love mine so far but it is early to give a report. The throttle pull is easy and it has plenty of power. This thing is a blast on the twistys!!!

Generally the reports are good about the 600 etec. DooTalk is good source of info. If anyone has even thought of a problem with any Ski-Doo, it's posted all over dootalk. So far the 600 etec sleds have been great. I've ridden them and they have great power for a 600.

Yeah, the 800 Etec

Thanks everybody...what I’m thinking is I can't really justify $11,300 for the 800-etec and the 600 is proven. Do you have an 800 and if so do you ride on or off trail? I ride 90% on trial.

i ride with a lot of 800s, i don't regret at all having a 600 etec. On the trails its just as fast, and on the lake it breaks 100. Fast enough for me, and its bullet prove

I ride an '09 GTX 600 ETEC and get about 19 mpg, great ride, and never get left behind!!

Heck yeah there's a down side.....it's the track!!!!! We're very happy with our ETEC, in all aspects!

If you work on your own stuff you will like the ski-doo. I have had mine apart to do a few upgrades and it has been very easy to work on.
